Hello! My name is Julia Maring, and I am so excited to share stories with you regarding student perspectives on blended learning.
As a current college sophomore I have certainly had my fair share of both positive and negative experiences with learning in a remote environment, and I am thrilled to get the opportunity to communicate success stories as well as challenges that can help all of us learn from one another.
In upcoming posts you can expect to hear from the points of view of students across grades and state lines, from any age group between K-12 as well as from college students, and from those with and without online learning experience prior to the pandemic.
I will also share from personal experience what resources and methods have been most and least effective for me, as well as how myself and others work to build community in the classroom despite obvious roadblocks.
Much like iLC’s “Coffee Break Chats” blog, you can count on reading about specific project ideas and technology resources that can be applied in daily life.
But, most of all, you can anticipate a place to learn, grow, and get a finger on the pulse of the current student experience.
We here at iLearn Collaborative are so grateful you’re here.
As a student, I personally am so appreciative of all the work that teachers and educators do to ensure that we receive the best possible education, even under new circumstances.
The fact that you are here right now, seeking to understand and always grow, speaks volumes about how much you care. Thank you!
Without further ado, let’s get started.
