In this course, participants will explore the process through which English Language (EL) students acquire academic language. They will acquire the skills needed to effectively provide instructional support that enhances student engagement and academic success. The course content will encompass topics such as creating inclusive learning environments, recognizing the stages of second language acquisition, and acquiring practical strategies for expanding vocabulary among EL students.

This course is worth 30 PD clock hours or 2 graduate-level credits.
