This course provides participants with a comprehensive exploration of three types of student engagement: emotional/relational, behavioral, and cognitive. These three forms of engagement work together to foster positive student growth and achievement in online learning environments. Specific approaches for each type of engagement are highlighted, with a particular focus on their benefits for English Language Learners (ELLs). The course aims to enhance understanding, equip participants with practical tools for implementation, and prepare them for monitoring progress in online ELL settings related to each type of engagement.
